Matcha with the hallmarks of a quality tea: bright green, bittersweet and frothy when whisked. With more bitterness than in the higher grade matcha, the renowned taste comes through fruit puree, dairy, coconut or almond milk. This vividly green tea is shaded prior to harvest to intensify the chlorophyll content and then steamed to halt oxidation. The leaves are then dried and crushed to an ultra fine texture. Add a teaspoon to your favorite smoothie recipe or protein shake. Blending with green fruits (i.e. honeydew) and white fruits (i.e. banana or apple) create the most appetizing drinks. A single serving is approximately 2 grams of tea served hot. Keep in mind, you are drinking the entire tea leaf! This means it has the highest amounts of all the good stuff green tea has to offer!
